Learning for Life Programme (LLP)

The school’s LLP, Beacons at Your Service, ‘BAYS’ BAYS aims to inspire Beacons to go beyond themselves and actively engage as contributing members of society. It is centered on Student Leadership and Community Service. Through BAYS, Beacons have various opportunities to live out their values into action. This in turn fosters their social-emotional competencies, character development, and values instillation. BAYS provides concrete experiences for Beacons to identify their strengths and refine their leadership abilities.

Student leadership

Leadership opportunities teach decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills. Early leadership roles encourage responsibility and independence. Overall, they lay a strong foundation for our Beacons’ future success and active community participation.

Beacons serving the school community

Serving the school community helps Beacons to build strong character by teaching empathy and responsibility. It encourages teamwork and a sense of belonging. Through acts of kindness and service, Beacons learn important social skills and the value of helping others. This experience prepares them to be positive contributors to society.

Beacons serving the extended community

Beacons have the opportunity to also serve our community partners. Through these meaningfully curated activities, Beacons develop a sense of responsibility, empathy, and stronger social skills. Community service also provides practical knowledge that complements what they learn during lessons. Ultimately, it inspires students to become active and caring citizens.
